Join us for THRIVING THURSDAYS for more information about navigating stress, sex, and substances.

Visit our peer educators to ask all your wellness questions, play some games, and have some fun! This info booth is designed to engage and educate folks at all knowledge and comfort levels.

Thriving Thursday Goals

Participants will:
Become more aware of other resources the Health Center offers, including Health Promotion and Wellness Services, bystander intervention, and more.

Have a better understanding of wellness, and how our peer education topic areas connect to wellness.

Understand how wellness and living their best lives are connected.

Learn about options they have to live their best life, whatever that may look like for them!

Peer educators will make wellness accessible to their college peers!

What topics will be covered?

Peer educators will cover all types of topics including:

  • Bystander Intervention
  • Alcohol and Other Drugs
  • Mental Health
  • Sexual Health

What types of questions can I ask when I attend?

​​​​​​Any questions you have related to mental health, sexual health, alcohol and other drugs, and bystander intervention. If one of our peer educators can’t answer your questions, they can direct you to someone that can!

Who is hosting the event?

​​​​​​While the Health Center is hosting the event, the peer educators are running the show! Peer educators have been trained to talk about mental health, sexual health, and alcohol and other drugs, and they are very excited to share their knowledge with the rest of the campus community.

If I miss the event, when’s the next one? Can I still ask my questions?

No need to worry if you miss the event, there will be one every Thursday! If you have questions, you can bring them the next week, or you can ask us via our social media.
