Hours and Location

Purple Line Construction Updates:

Starting Monday, April 15th: The Purple Line contractor will close the sidewalk east of the main entrance (see the red line on the map). The west sidewalk and main front entrance will still be available for pedestrians (see the dotted blue line on the map). The contractor will install the signage on the map to direct pedestrians to the ADA-accessible path.

Health Center detour map as of April 2024 due to purple line construction

Starting Thursday, May 23rd: The Purple Line contractor will close the west sidewalk and main front entrance (the east sidewalk will remain closed). They will construct an ADA-accessible ramp at the south entrance of the building (i.e., ground-floor lobby door). This entrance will be the temporary main until the front entrance reopens on Wednesday, August 21st. We will outline patient traffic through the building before the main front door closes next month. Additional information will be sent before the full closure.

If, due to a permanent or temporary disability, this construction outage presents a barrier to you, please contact Facilities Management's Customer Response Center at: 301.405.2222 or via email at fmcrc@umd.edu. You may also contact the University of Maryland ADA/504 Coordinator at: adacoordinator@umd.edu. We apologize for the inconvenience while we work to improve overall service and functionality.
