Acute Assessment of Urgent Concerns

The Mental Health Service offers brief, initial meetings to assess and stabilize students. Follow-up appointments or other recommendations may be made. Examples of urgent concerns include:

  •  Feeling suicidal
  •  Panic attacks
  •  Can’t function
  •  Acute stressor
  •  Concerned about a friend or student at risk
  • For emergencies after hours, please call 911 or the new suicide prevention hotline number, 988.
