Suicide Prevention Training Request
Suicide is the second leading cause of death among college students in the United States. The University of Maryland is committed to providing information and training to prevent suicide. We offer a FREE Suicide Prevention training for University of Maryland, College Park students, staff, and faculty. Due to limited resources, we are unable to offer trainings to the community at-large.

from student groups, residence halls, and other UMD-affiliated organizations.
Instructors also sometimes request presentations that correspond with students'
Groups are required to provide presentation space (example: reserved classroom), computer, projector, and screen. We typically play a short DVD as part of the training, so rooms with audio-visual capabilities are preferred.
