Student Support Programs
The Learning Assistance Service (LAS) is the academic support unit of the University Counseling Center. LAS exists to help students achieve their academic goals by providing a range of services that are all FREE to students. LAS provides academic counseling, learning strategies courses, and academic success workshops.
If you are a new and/or are transfer student, they offer services that are designed to ease the transition from high school or from a two or four year college, and assist you in accessing campus resources.
Transfer students can come to the Transfer Student Welcome Event and enroll in EDCP 108G:Learning and study strategies for transfer students.
The Learning Assistance Service provides math learning support as well as support for graduate students, students on probation or dismissal, returning and adult students, and provides content area support via guided study sessions and peer assisted learning.
