In an emergency, the OVA provides 24 hour crisis response, 365 days a year. If you or someone you know is experiencing a crisis, you should page the OVA at (301) 207-0108.

Walk-in to the OVA

The OVA is open from 10am to 7pm, Monday through Friday. An advocate should be available in Room 2118D of the University Health Center during those times.

Call for an appointment

You may speak to an advocate or make an appointment by calling (301) 314-2222 (campus x42222)

Email an advocate

You may email an advocate for assistance or make an appointment by emailing victimadvocate@health.umd.edu. If you wish, all services may be anonymous.

IM an advocate

You may use the AIM Screenname, UMVictimAdvocate, to speak to an advocate or to set up an appointment to see an advocate. Also, information about contacting the OVA is in the profile of the screenname.
