The Tobacco Cessation Assistance Fund is available to assist students, faculty, and staff with the purchase of tobacco cessation products and services. Included within the scope of this fund is money allotted for products and services such as Nicorette gum, Nicoderm Patches, Nicotrol Inhalers, Zyban, and other non-traditional cessation aids.
To be eligible for use of this fund, any student, faculty, or staff member of the University of Maryland at College Park must:
Be non-insured or under-insured and must have exhausted all other avenues of support for payment of product or service.
Participate in a minimum of two individual cessation-counseling sessions in addition to a four-session cessation class.
Be willing to be examined by a physician or other medical professional in the University Health Center prior to receipt of product or service.
Agree to participate in survey evaluation both immediately following completion of counseling and class sessions and three months following completion of counseling and class sessions.

Please be prepared to provide insurance information (if available), evidence of membership in the Healthy Workers Program (if applicable), as well as any other information believed to be relevant in determining individual eligibility for award.
