Terp C.H.O.I.C.E.S. Alcohol & Other Drug Peer Education
About Terp C.H.O.I.C.E.S. (Choosing Healthy Options in the College Environment Safely)
Your 110 pound roommate has just passed out after downing six shots in the past hour, do you know what to do?
Your friends are trying Oxy, but you're not sure how it will affect you?
You have to go to work tomorrow at 8 a.m. It's Friday night in College Park and you're not into the bar scene, do you know what you can do for fun that
does not involve alcohol?
Throughout the college years, students at the University of Maryland are faced with many choices. Choices about who to live with, who to date, and what
to do for fun. Often these choices involve decisions about the use of alcohol and other drugs.
Terp CHOICES is a program designed to increase awareness and knowledge about alcohol and other drug issues in the college environment. Terp CHOICES presents
workshops to University classes, residence halls, Greek organizations, athletic teams, and other campus groups. All workshops are interactive and encourage
group participation. With prior notification, we are able to specialize our programs to fit your particular needs (for example, an all freshman group or a
specific topic/drug).
