Fees

There is a fee of $15 per session at the Mental Health Service.  If you have health insurance purchased through the University of Maryland Health Center, this fee will be covered by your insurance.  If this fee poses a financial hardship for you, please discuss this with your clinician.  For each appointment, a $15 fee will appear on your bursar account as a charge from the "Health Center" (it will not say Mental Health Service).  If you do not want this fee visible on your bursar account, you can pay the $15 fee on the day of your appointment by asking the Mental Health Service Administrative Assistant for a billing form, which you will pay at the Health Center pharmacy.

If you do not cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance, your student account will be charged a no show fee of $25.

There is no charge for group therapy.

At this time, the Mental Health Service does not bill individual health insurance plans, even though the rest of the Health Center does.
