Health Education

Health Education is an important component of HWP. In the fall of 2001, HWP began to develop bilingual health education material (in both Spanish and English) to address various health issues.

Below is a more detailed description of the HWP classes.

• Classes are 30 minutes long; however, special classes--which give an overview of all the various topics in that subject--are 1 hour long.
• Classes are presented by our HWP volunteers.
• Classes can be presented in either Spanish or English.
• Classes are designed for a small group of attendees (5-7); however sessions for smaller or larger groups can be arranged if requested.
• Classes are presented by HWP volunteers; thus, they will only be available during the academic year (Early September to Mid-December and Late January to Mid-May).
