Bills & Payments

HWP provides free limited medical care for the individuals enrolled in the program, that is, there are some medical services that are not covered. For example, some prescriptions like birth control are not covered by the program, so you will be responsible to pay for them. For a complete list of the medical services that are free please refer to our brochure.

If you choose to receive a service that is not covered by the HWP program, you will be asked to sign an agreement by which you accept to pay all the corresponding charges. You will either be asked to provide some type of payment (cash or credit card) right away or you will be given the option to put it on your university account and you will later receive a bill from the university (Bursar’s Office).

University Account

If you are unable to pay at once the amount you owe the university, you have the option of paying the University in monthly installments. However, monthly finance charges and interest will accumulate until you finish paying in full.

If you receive a bill by mistake or for a service covered by the HWP program please contact our office. After reviewing your request to review your account, your bill will be approved for cancellation. You will receive a notice of the cancellation in a letter. However, the program does not cancel finance or interest charges that accumulate monthly so if you do not bring your bill to our office promptly, you will be responsible to pay for these charges.
