Occupational Health Services
The Occupational Health Clinic develops and implements medical surveillance programs for those employees working with hazardous agents and offers lectures on health and safety topics. This office is also responsible for pre-employment physicals for some campus departments. The Occupational Health Clinic provides medical services to all University of Maryland employees who work with hazardous materials or in hazardous environments. These services include:
- pre-placement examinations and required work related immunizations (Hepatitis B, Tetanus, Rabies...)
- periodic medical surveillance (Hazmat, Asbestos, Hearing, Pesticide exposure, Rabies protection, TB...)
- periodic health assessments (Respirator use, DOT certificate)
- consultation and education on occupational health concerns
