Undergraduate and graduate women, currently enrolled, are eligible for Women's Health Services. Women's Health staffed by physicians, nurse practitioners and physician's assistants who are trained in the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of healthy patients as well as those with common problems. Routine wellness and problem focused care is encouraged for students of all ethnicities and sexual orientation.

- Contraceptive (birth control) Services and Emergency Contraception
- Pregnancy Testing and Counseling
- Sexually Transmitted Infection Testing

A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Ask questions! You will probably be nervous, so write down your questions ahead of time and bring them with you.
- If interested in birth control, consider what method you would like to use. To help make this decision, make an to attend a S.H.A.R.E. peer education session prior to your appointment in Women's Health.
- Know the date of the first day of your last menstrual period.
- You should not be menstruating on the day of the exam.
- Avoid sexual intercourse, tampons, douching, and vaginal medications for at least 2 days prior to your visit.

Appointments
Select appointments may be made via the web at www.myuhc.umd.edu. Appointments may also be made by phone (301) 314-8190 Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Same-day appointments are limited. Please be prepared to provide the date of the first day of your last menstrual period.
