Appointments

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, dial 911.

It is always best to make an appointment to be seen at the Health Center. Your University ID number is required when scheduling an appointment. Patients without appointments can be assessed in triage and may be seen on the same day by a clinician depending on the severity of the problem.  Urgent cases always take priority.

Student Appointments on the Web
myUHC is the University Health Center’s web portal for students to make appointments, receive secure messages, request prescription renewals and refills, and complete forms via the web. You will need your University Directory ID and password to access myUHC

Please be advised that not all appointment types may be available on-line.  If you do not find your appointment type on-line, please call the University Health Center at (301) 314-8184 to make an appointment.

If you are experiencing severe pain, bleeding, shortness of breath, chest pain, or other signs of severe distress, do not attempt to make an appointment via the web.  Call the University Health Center at (301) 314-8184 or come in to be triaged.  If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, dial 911.

Canceling and Rescheduling Appointments

New Appointment Reminder System

Patients can now receive an appointment reminder via text messaging! If you are interested in receiving an appointment reminder 1 hour before your scheduled appointment, please provide the Health Center with your cell phone number and carrier. You can also provide this information when you make an appointment or the next time you check-in at Registration. Registered students can also add this information via the secure patient portal at www.myUHC.umd.edu.

More Features Added to the myUHC

Patient Web Portal

Registered students should check-out the my UHC patient web portal to see new features that provide them with more information. Not only can you make an appointment, communicate with your provider, complete forms--you can now see the dates of visits and with whom, view a summary of your financial account information (last 18 months), view the results of common lab tests, and more! You asked for it and it’s now available!
