Free STI Testing Events 2017-2018

Available to students and non-students on a First Come, First Served basis.

Unless otherwise noted, all free testing events are located on the ground floor of the University Health Center.

HOW IT'S DONE:
  • Gonorrhea & Chlamydia testing is done through a urine sample, which screens for infection in the genitals onlyAdditional testing for the throat or rectum is available at-cost through the Health Center.
  • HIV testing is done through an oral swab. Please limit food and drink 30 minutes before being tested.
GETTING YOUR RESULTS:
  • Two weeks after your testing date, please call the Prince George’s County Health Department at 301-583-3188 on Wednesday or Thursday between 1:00pm - 4:00pm
  • The University Health Center will not have your results.

Additional STI testing options are available at the University Health Center.


Really want to be tested today?

HIV-only testing can be done without an appointment in our lab. Visit registration upstairs and request walk-in HIV testing in the lab. Two week results - $5.25; Next-day results - $25

Willing to come back another day?

Come back for another free testing date or make an appointment with an additional STI testing option available at the University Health Center by visiting www.myuhc.umd.edu or by calling 301-314-8184. 

If you have symptoms...

It is recommended that you make an appointment with a provider instead of using a lab-only clinic so that you can get the most accurate testing and diagnoses.
