Q1. How do I know you received my immunization form?

If it's been at least 5 days, log into Testudo to check status. Due to high volume, personal responses can not be made.

Q2. I handed (or faxed) my form in and I can not register?

Allow 5-7 business days for the form to be processed.

Q3. I turned in my documents 2 weeks ago, how do I verify that I am cleared for registration?

You may check registration by going to the website:

Under Resources for, select Current Students (scroll down)
Under Student Services, select Records and Registration
Under Limited Access, select Appointment and Registration Status
Select Term (example, Fall)
Then hit submit

Enter your student UID number and Password then hit Enter
Your registration is now viewed. If you do not have a screen that says you are blocked then you are cleared!

Q4. What immunizations do I need?

Q5. I need shots, what can I do?

Call the appointment desk at 301-314-8184, and they will schedule an appointment for you. You can also see your private Physician to get the shots from them.

Q6. What will the cost be for immunizations?

MMR=$65, PPD-$10 (international requirement)

NO

Q8. Can I fax the form?

Yes, the fax number is 301-314-5234

Q9. I signed a waiver, why can't I register?

The waiver is for meningitis only, that is a housing requirement. MMR is the requirement to register, no waiver can be signed.

Q10. I am an international student-what do I need?

Required-2 MMRs, after 1st birthday, at least 28 days apart. PPD skin test-within one year. History of PPD skin test <10mm in duration, Chest X-ray required. Follow-up at Health Center for X-ray report review.

Q11. I am in the military-what do I need?

Copy of your DD214, or copy Front/Back of active Military ID card, or immunization records, like everyone else.

Q12. I'm a permanent resident with a green card, what do I need?

Same as a U.S. Citizen, 2 MMRs after 1st birthday- at least 28 days apart.

Q13. I was born before 1980, what are my requirements?

If you were born before January 1, 1957, you are age exempt, fill out Section A of our form. If you were born between 1957 and 1967, all vaccines are invalid, you must be reimmunized, or proof of 2 MMRs given after 1968, or one recent (within 10 years) will suffice.

Q14. My pediatrician is no longer in practice, what do I do?

You can get a copy of your high school records if they are within 5 years old, or as your primary care physician to do a blood titer to show immunity to MMR. If you went to a Maryland Public school, contact the county Board of Education, they keep records.
