What is EHR?
EHR stands for Electronic Health Records. An EHR is a secure electronic system for making appointments and maintaining your health records.

How will EHR benefit me?
You will have the ability to make appointments on-line. No more waiting for your paper chart if and when you are seen as a patient. You will have the ability to self check-in and update your demographic data prior to your appointment. You will have the ability to complete required forms on-line prior to your appointment.

When will I be able to make an appointment on-line?
This feature should be available by the start of Fall semester 2008.

Will I or anyone else be able to access my medical information on-line?
No. This is a secure system that is NOT accessible to anyone other than authorized University Health Center staff.

How is the confidentiality and security of my health information maintained?
The system employs security measures such as firewalls and passwords.

Is this system compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) security rule?
Yes. The system is HIPAA compliant.
